If you’ve got a Kindle Fire and an Amazon Prime account, you can watch thousands of movies for free on your tablet (or your computer or other compatible device). Amazon Prime, for those of you not familiar with it, is a service offered by Amazon for $69/year that provides:

– free two-day shipping on thousands of products
– instant streaming access to more than 10,000 movies and TV shows
– instant access to thousands of Kindle books

Originally, Prime was a service that just provided free two-day shipping after you paid your annual fee. But Amazon keeps improving the program. In 2012 alone, they expanded the program to offer all seven Harry Potter books for free in the Prime Lending Library, signed a deal with Paramount to let members stream movies such as “Star Trek” and “Top Gun,” and enabled Xbox Live Gold members to watch Instant Videos on their gaming consoles.

If you’re already a Prime member, it’s a great way to watch free Christmas movies. All you need to do is make sure you’re logged into your Amazon account, find the movie you want to watch, click the Watch Now button, and start streaming!

Here are some of the Christmas-themed Amazon Instant Video titles that are available for free (as of this writing. Please check Amazon to check current availability and pricing). Any of these movies can be watched on your Kindle Fire, computer or other compatible devices such as Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
